General Prayers vs Targeted Prayers

There is an analogy I use that explains General Vs Targeted Prayers very well. Several years ago, I was going to rent one of my apartments to Section 8 tenants. The City expects you to allow them to come in and inspect the apartment. They gave me a list of requirements for the apartment and I tried my best to meet the requirements. The apartment has a hardwood floor, so I got some some liquid that you can use to shine the wood floor and mopped the floor with it. When the inspector came, the inspector failed the inspection. Among one or two other reasons, she pointed to the black spots in the hardwood floor. Even though the floor was shining, there were dark gum stain around the living room. After she left, I had to get on my knees and use a knife to scrape the gum stain one by one.

When it comes to deliverance and spiritual warfare, the things many people are going through that seem to be persistent requires "scraping or rooting out". What most people do with deep rooted issues is like the general mopping. It cleans and shines the floor, but it doesn't remove the gum stain. General prayers remove some things, but not the deep rooted things. Just like I had to scrape out the gum stain one by one, the deep rooted issues needs specific and targeted attention through warfare prayers in order for them to be removed. General prayers don't work for those issues. Warfare prayers will. Here are some examples of targeted warfare prayers:

O Lord, locate and destroy by fire every evil charm, hex, spell, jinx, manipulation and witchcraft working against my life, in Jesus name.
Holy ghost fire, flow through me and destroy every demonic personality and plantation in my life, in Jesus name.
I remove my name from every evil list, in Jesus name.
Every demonic personality following me around be arrested by fire, in Jesus name.
I bind every sorcerer, diviner, soothsayer, necromancer, false prophet(ess), psychic and witch doctor hired to do me harm, in Jesus name.
